Highlights of My Senior Year

There is always so much talk around this time of school year. About how much time has flown, and honestly it has. But while I captivate over the thought of that, I wanted to try and reminisce over the positive and funny moments from my senior year. I began the semester running cross country. My teammates and I hung out over the summer and did tons of team bonding, which included going to cross country camp. My favorite moment from that was our senior prank. I remembered this particular incident, because it was the most hilarious plan that we came up with all summer. Click here to continue reading…

Defining Success

We all have our own way of defining success, since we all have different purposes in life. My success is accomplishing anything that I put hard work and commitment into achieving. I strongly believe that if you want something bad enough then you’re automatically going to work at it until you get it, otherwise you did not want it bad enough. For example, one of my goals is to save up enough money so that I can purchase my own Mac-book for college. To get there I know that I am going to have to sacrifice some things, and put away some money from my checks in order to gain the amount I need. Click here to continue reading…

Summer Time Fine

Summer time is getting closer and with only 20 days of school left, I’m tired of waiting and I am growing more impatient. The most exciting thing that happens for me in the summer time is my birthday, so I’m looking forward to that and great weather. Many people tell me how lucky I am to have a summer birthday when really it gets more complicated, since people like to take summer vacations and schedule lots of plans. Other than that, the weather is usually always great. Besides me finally becoming legal within the next month, I am also looking forward to visiting my older brother who will be having a baby in June. I couldn’t tell you just how excited I am about finally being an aunt, and if you couldn’t tell already, June is definitely my favorite month of the year. Click here to continue reading…

My Productive Weekend Before Prom

I’ve always wondered why we only get two days for the weekend and an entire full five days for work, school, and basically everything un-relaxing related. I sound so lazy, but really I feel like I work my butt off sometimes to only be able to get TWO days of rest! And really those days aren’t even rest for me, because I’m constantly working. I’m sure we all just miss those middle school and elementary days, when sleeping in was 100% guaranteed Saturday mornings. Really, I miss the time when I didn’t have to worry about much, but it’s all apart of growing up right? Click here to continue reading…

Advice to My Future Self

The saying, “turning over a new leaf” may bring many questions because it can mean a start to an entire different world. For me, the saying sounds so refreshing. To think that I will be leaving home in a couple months for college kind of excites me. I love that I will be in a new setting, meeting new people, and getting to work on myself more. My dad always tells me the future is what you make it. Honestly this is the motto I want to live by while I am pursuing my education. Click here to continue reading…

Technology Empowers Us

I’ve recently been hooked on the show “13 Reasons Why” on Netflix. I’m not even halfway finished with the series, but so far it’s been one of those shows that completely draws you in and makes you want to watch more and more. Hannah is the main character in the show and when I first started watching, she said something that I totally agree with. We are all connected in this world somehow. Mainly, that connected-ness is because of social media. Click here to continue reading…

The Best Television Series

With seven total amazing seasons, I’ve only missed the last two episodes of The Walking Dead (TWD). This is my favorite TV show in my life right now. If you don’t know what I am talking about or just not even sure what TWD is, then honestly you are missing out. This American, horror, and drama TV series has me on edge almost every single episode, and that’s hard to say about a TV show that has been ongoing for seven seasons by now. The main thrilling content that the TV show presents are the “walkers”,  “zombies”, or even “biters”. There’s so many names for these dead, humanly, human-eating creatures. Before I started watching the show during fall break of my junior year, even the thought of zombies completely freaked me out. I hate watching scary movies, I hate haunted houses, I hate the dark, and I get very grossed out very easy. That just means if I am able to watch a show like this, then anyone can. My dad was the first person to turn me to the show. He would always talk about it and I would always try to ignore him because I didn’t want to care. I can’t lie though, after I finished the first episode of season one, I was already addicted. All I did for fall break was catch up and watch the first five seasons.

Bad Luck I Guess

Are you kidding me!? It hasn’t even been 3 months and my phone is messed up. Recently, about a month before christmas, I got my 6s plus. I was extremely happy to get a new phone because i was due for an upgrade. My old phone was an HTC, and I hadn’t even had that one for a year and it was either glitching, being slow, or deleting things on its own. I’m starting to think that I must have bad luck with phones. I knew that I wanted a better, newer phone. I was saving up literally all my checks to buy my new phone and surprisingly, a gift came my way. I got a phone call from my dad and he said that he got my sister and I an early Christmas gift and to keep checking for mail. I was just too anxious and I finally asked him what was coming in the mail. When he told me that it was the phone that I was already saving up my own money for, I literally almost cried. Did he read my mind or something? I was even more happy that I had extra money to put towards something else now.
