Highlights of My Senior Year

There is always so much talk around this time of school year. About how much time has flown, and honestly it has. But while I captivate over the thought of that, I wanted to try and reminisce over the positive and funny moments from my senior year. I began the semester running cross country. My teammates and I hung out over the summer and did tons of team bonding, which included going to cross country camp. My favorite moment from that was our senior prank. I remembered this particular incident, because it was the most hilarious plan that we came up with all summer. Click here to continue reading…

Defining Success

We all have our own way of defining success, since we all have different purposes in life. My success is accomplishing anything that I put hard work and commitment into achieving. I strongly believe that if you want something bad enough then you’re automatically going to work at it until you get it, otherwise you did not want it bad enough. For example, one of my goals is to save up enough money so that I can purchase my own Mac-book for college. To get there I know that I am going to have to sacrifice some things, and put away some money from my checks in order to gain the amount I need. Click here to continue reading…

A Quincy to Remember

Turning 15 is something big in the Hispanic community. But when I was younger it wasn’t really my thing. Now you’re obviously wondering,  “What is this psycho talking about.” Well, your question has been answered. My Quincenera. My Quincenera was probably the best day in my life! But oh boy… planning it was the hardest thing in the world. Once I turned 14, I thought it through and told myself I do want my Quincenera. So we pretty much planned my Quincenera in one year, maybe even less. Click here to continue reading…

Finger-Breaking Bishop

I think breaking bones is hard, but it can be easy to some people. It is especially easy for my best friend, AKA my body guard. We were in 5th grade, and we were pretty dumb for trying to break bones anyway. I still remember how it happen, the way my finger cracked six times. Yes, I felt the shock and pain go through my finger and my hand… six different times. My best friend, (and body guard) was Bishop. He was pretty awesome. I was pretty tiny and fragile, and Bishop was the complete opposite. He was big and probably twice my size. Due to that, he ended up being like a bodyguard to me. Plus, Bishop was probably the only friend I had at that school. Click here to continue reading…

Summer Time Fine

Summer time is getting closer and with only 20 days of school left, I’m tired of waiting and I am growing more impatient. The most exciting thing that happens for me in the summer time is my birthday, so I’m looking forward to that and great weather. Many people tell me how lucky I am to have a summer birthday when really it gets more complicated, since people like to take summer vacations and schedule lots of plans. Other than that, the weather is usually always great. Besides me finally becoming legal within the next month, I am also looking forward to visiting my older brother who will be having a baby in June. I couldn’t tell you just how excited I am about finally being an aunt, and if you couldn’t tell already, June is definitely my favorite month of the year. Click here to continue reading…

Kings Island and Senior Skip Day!

At my school there is a tradition that after Prom, you go to Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. This tradition has been going on for many years. Let me just say this now… KINGS ISLAND WAS SO FUN! I went last year after prom, but it was so fun to re-live the moment. My favorite ride was the Diamondback. You take this big drop that makes you come off your seat a little, and the ride was so long that I could barely scream anymore, when it was over. I wanted to get on the Drop Tower, but they said “due to wind conditions, we cannot allow you to get on the ride. If you would like to wait until the wind calms down then you may do so, but we do not know how long this will last.” I was so mad because I really wanted to see how this 276 feet drop would feel! I assume, I would’ve probably I wanted to throw up, pass out, or pee my pants ( Not really.) I needed answers! But since the wind was so bad, I guess this time I wouldn’t find out. My First Highlight of 2017

My prom experience was so great and stressful at the same time. Starting off, the morning was already bad, due to the fact that I went to Greenwood Park Mall for my tux (at the last minute.) I should have done that a while ago, but hey I was lazy, had to work, and go to school, so I never had the time. Once I got there, I realized I  forgot my money!  I was very desolate, because I thought I would have to drive all the way home to get it. Fortunately, I walked into the Bank and they told me I could get money out of my bank account without my card. Click here to continue reading…
